The climax comes at the raising of the tabletop— our stage and screen—which by now turned into an intricate, beautiful drawing, celebrated in the final few shots as activity dissolved, and still moments drew even more attention to it. It is possibly the final frame of this video that best defines its core rationale: loyal to the one-shot continuum, to mark the break the camera goes in and out of focus over a newly placed fresh tablecloth, evoking thoughts about the irresistible allure of cinematographic glamour. It leads to the final realization that in this staged, ultra-stylized game Bar-Shai and Maymon, by tracing the projection of the dishes, essentially traced the artistic halo over the ceremonious conventions of culture.
